All Ages Tutoring of South Florida Offers variety programs from Afterschool, Winter, Summer, Homework help, life skills, Academic enrichments, recreation, physical fitness, music lessons and Adult Education.
AATSF is mainly focusing on Afterschool program, Summer Program and Adult Education program which are the main cores of the organization.
Program Overview
All Ages Tutoring of South Florida provides after school and enrichment programs to support children’s academic, cultural, recreational, and citizenship activities. We target low-income families’ children who live near public schools. Our tutors assist with homework and provide an extra package of mathematics or reading based on each participant’s grade level. This activity aims to improve the students’ grades mostly in mathematics, reading, science, and writing.
All Ages is committed to providing tailored programs to our students’ social and academic needs to equip them with the necessary foundational learning and skills to become productive adults in our society. Take advantage of the opportunity for your children to join our after-school program today.
Program Overview
We focus on Elementary and Middle school students in our Tutoring and Summer Camp Program, as this is when they begin to develop skills such as decision-making, communication, and competency. Our program is tailored to their social and academic needs, providing a foundation for future success.
All Ages Summer Camp offers programs in various subjects such as arts, music, sports, and technology, and our focus is on Mathematics, Reading, and Writing. We also bring in guest speakers from local universities in the fields of Science, Mathematics, and Music. Children learn and play simultaneously in our program.
Enrichments:
Academic enrichment courses are designed to enhance academic preparation and focus on skill development in areas such as science, math, reading, writing, languages, drama, technology, as well as art, music, and sports classes. The following are some examples of enrichment activities:
– Board Games
– Chess/Checkers
– Strategic Games or Mind Games
– STEM
– Music Appreciation
– Word Challenges
– Sudoku
Overall, these courses are meant to broaden a student’s horizons and provide opportunities for further growth and development.
AATSF
All Ages Tutoring of South Florida offers music lessons every day after academic session to all participants. The music lessons include Drum, Guitar and piano. Students will also have an opportunity to showcase their talents every end of the month. Classes are categorized as follow:
- Beginner level
- Middle level
- Master level
Programs:
Since the start of the program in February 2010, more than 200 students have enrolled in English literacy, ESOL, basic typing skills, computer and job skill training programs and have given positive feedback on how the program has changed their lives. Even those who never attended school in Haiti or the United States have given great reviews on how the Three Months Free Books Programs has improved their ability to read, write and speak English.
Many students have experienced their first time using a computer and found it to be a touching experience. About 50 students have graduated and continued their education in vocational schools or colleges. The program has had much success due to support from partners such as Barry University, Miami Dade County Public Schools, Haitian Emmanuel Baptist Church, Comprehensive Health Center, Farm Share, Miami Dade Community Actions Agency, and volunteer teachers and professionals who have given back to their community.
